Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Technology Officer
Jim is ClearArmor’s CTO and General Counsel. Jim has a BSECE from Drexel University and JD and LLM degrees from George Mason University’s School of Law. He worked in a variety of technical roles for large corporations, start-ups, and Congress before attending law school. In his legal career, Jim worked for several years as an outside attorney and patent agent for a large law firm, where he advised individuals, start-ups, and Fortune 100 corporations on a wide range of legal matters.
Jim moved in-house almost a decade ago, first helping Unisys Corporation adopt a more comprehensive, business-oriented approach to IP protection, and later joining the legal team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Jim is active in defining the technical attributes of ClearArmor’s flagship offerings, ensures that the company’s intellectual property is well protected, and provides legal guidance in other areas as well.
